Passionate about his encounters whether in the South or North, he exhibited with the french, Marc Faivre in 1990 at the National Gallery of Art in Dakar, and repeated later with the french ceramist and photographer Claire Jegou in 1991, themed “Artistes Reunis” in Dakar.
Together with the swiss Betty Webber, he also organised an exhibition with fifteen other Senegalese and Suisse painters and sculptors, in 1996 in Toubab Dialaw in Senegal. a second Symposium titled “Return to Switzerland”, at St. Anton in 1995 where both Artists Swiss and Senegalese exhibited their work in Zurich ROTE FABRIC.
Dieng also took part in the International Symposium of sculpture which took place in RIGI KULM in Switzerland from the 5th to the 18th of August 1996.
This particular symposium was organised by NOLDI VOLGER who reunited fifteen countries. The African continent was represented by Amadou Dieng with an artwork entitled “Union”, a sculpture in wood and iron.
The artist is particularly fond of using large formats for his work. He made two murals in fana Hotel Residence ALMADIES.
